Pre WW2. In 1940/41, all left sleeve eagles were turned to face forward. Im sure there were some still in use in the beginning of WW2, but the change was pre WW2

Thank you. please tell me why you think that? I always thought that the WW1 and post WW1 had narrow waists--like a violin.

Others may argue this but it seems that after WW1 the body of the eagle straightens up and the shield cut of the patch becomes the clipped upper corners.

Just pulled these out for comparison and maybe I am off on this one but if it was in my collection I would call it 1920's
