Chris Posted March 6, 2020 Share #1 Posted March 6, 2020 I am not a medal expert. I just found this and the brooch code made me think Vietnam. But I would be grateful for any expert information. I wish I knew something about the owner, but found this loose and have zero information. Thanks!

Blacksmith Posted March 7, 2020 Share #3 Posted March 7, 2020 *GI* marked crimp broach medals were issued from the 60s to modern day, with a 1/2-inch broach until ~2000, when they switched to a 3/8-inch broach. That does not mean, however, that is when the awarded action occurred. I am thinking reissued medals when I say that. So, one could have a 90s-era medal, that was reissued for a WWII action.
