BigBrother Posted March 6, 2020 Share #1 Posted March 6, 2020 And so... it begins. Another rabbit hole amply dove into! A few weeks ago I posted this: http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/338245-where-can-i-buy-a-good-enoughcostume-quality-wwii-navy-or-army-officers-uniform/ And sure enough, the Dickies route worked wonderfully. And now... I want MORE! I'm nearly dead set on getting something more authentic. So, of the 5-8 vendors that tend to get thrown around, which would you say is the best for the khaki summer uniform? Reading this: http://www.wadhamsfamilyhistory.co.uk/FortiesUSflightuniform.htm it seems like WPG is the way to go (also seems darn affordable, but don't let me lead the witness here!) With which vendor would you go for those summer tans? (Note- must be the cotton, not the wool, as these will be for dance events.) Thanks!

kammo-man Posted March 9, 2020 Share #3 Posted March 9, 2020 Have you checked WW2 impressions ? They are world class uniform makers. Owen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
BigBrother Posted March 9, 2020 Author Share #4 Posted March 9, 2020 Yes! They were one of the first I saw when I started all this search a few weeks back. They look fantastic (and are a great historical reference to boot) but are outside my price range: https://www.wwiiimpressions.com/collections/khaki-cotton-officers-uniform
KRIS FORD Posted March 11, 2020 Share #5 Posted March 11, 2020 Many officers and CPOs when I was in the USN DID wear Dickies..as "wash khakis"!
