Kansas Raider Posted March 9, 2020 Author Share #14 Posted March 9, 2020 This is my last 89th Division WW1 uniforms. It is Ided to John N. Hicks from Cherryvale Kansas. He was in the 89th Division, 177th Infantry Brigade, 353rd Infantry Regiment, Co E. He was gassed on Nov. 11th, 1918. Last day of the war. Admitted to hospital Nov. 17, 1918. Wouldn't see a problem, as Machine Gun Battalions are of the Infantry, wearing one or the other coming down to personal inclination, but we would think more of what was available at the time.
