kyhistorian01 Posted March 3, 2020 Share #1 Posted March 3, 2020 I have had this medal for some time, but have had little success in getting information on it. I recently found the attached grave marker on Find a grave and this is the only military hit I have found on the name. Any help or opinions welcome. KASTAUFFER Posted March 3, 2020 Share #6 Posted March 3, 2020 I found a wwii vet with an exact name match including no middle initial.
Kadet Posted March 3, 2020 Share #7 Posted March 3, 2020 The middle initial is significant in this case. Typically if the initial is missing on the engraved medal, it means the man didnt have one. I think it probably belonged to the WWII vet

Now if I can find something out about him.
