Vpep Posted March 1, 2020 Share #1 Posted March 1, 2020 Hello Everyone, I was lucky enough to find this morse code training device, so I thought I would share and maybe get some opinions. It came with two paper tapes, and looks almost unused. It is, unfortunately, missing the power cord. I would love to get this machine up and operating to use at a veterans day display. I had seen one on working on youtube and I think the kids would love it. My question is to those who have a little knowledge about electronics. Is there anyway to substitute a power cord to get it to operate without possibly destroying the machine and electrocuting myself in the process? I hope you all enjoy the photos. 12thengr Posted March 4, 2020 Share #3 Posted March 4, 2020 It just takes an extension cord with a round female end. I've got a post-war phono -P.A. and it has the same system.
Vpep Posted March 4, 2020 Author Share #4 Posted March 4, 2020 Awesome, thanks for that, I’ll try it out this weekend. In doing research, I’ve heard a lot of people say they just don’t work, even when you find them in mint condition. I’m going to give it a shot though. Bowdy Posted July 23, 2022 Share #5 Posted July 23, 2022 In the late 60s I used a machine like this to learn code for my Amatuer radio license.
