The link above is to the Lt's helmet with name and service number..

The group came in to the local AN store in time to make it to the SOS, and sold quickly, anyone here get it?

in the group..

Footlocker named and duffle bag, named

US helmet in the link above

German Normandy camo helmet

M1917 knife with metal scabbard

M1 bayonet, uncut

Jump boots

M1936 suspenders, with WWI era web belt and compass pouch with black compass

1918 dated cleaning kit and container

and this 1918 dated cover, canteen and cup...the owner of the AN store felt pitty on me and now is in the canteen collection

Named to on the front to Ed Jr along with a MIJ web belt, no doubt Jr used it as a youth, but made its way back in to dad's footlocker

the Lt was in the Ordnance Corps and retired as a LtC in the Army...the footlocker also had various ordnance training aids, ///grenades, mortars cutaway etc...

His web gear contained a lot of 1918 WWI gear

the canteen set is a matched set cup and canteen made by AGM Co.

The family stated dad was a Normandy vet...I do not think he was an invasion type, but maybe D+ X?

at any show it would be just another canteen...
