917601 Posted February 26, 2020 Share #1 Posted February 26, 2020 I have these huge (3 ft wing spans) aircraft models gifted to me, I finally tried something different. The SBD my favorite, the helicopters ( UH60, UH1, AH1, OH58) line empty space above the window. For now, I like the way empty ceiling space is filled. ArtyScout Posted February 27, 2020 Share #6 Posted February 27, 2020 I just watched the movie "Midway". So its nice to see another SBD-Dauntless Dive Bomber again. BTW it was a good movie. I still enjoy the old movie with the All-Star cast of Charlton Heston, Henry Fonda, Robert Mitchum, Glen Ford, Robert Wagner, Hal Holbrook, Edward Albert etc. Still this is an awesome display. 917601 Posted February 29, 2020 Author Share #8 Posted February 29, 2020 Thanks, problem I have is I have five more( Avenger torpedo bomber, P47, F105) to hang somewhere. This Harrier and F18 ( almost 4 ft) are heavier, and will require ingenuity in hanging....I hung 22 up at our Legion, maybe I rotate in/out some lighter ones....wonderful problem I have. Blacksmith Posted March 10, 2020 Share #10 Posted March 10, 2020 I would go with eye-hooks into ceiling joists.
