David B Posted February 22, 2020 Share #1 Posted February 22, 2020 Hi all, I'm posting this for a friend of mine. I'm not 100% sure but I believe it's a late war other ranks Airborne para glider garrison cap, piped in blue for infantry?? Is that correct? Many thanks in advance. David B Posted February 22, 2020 Author Share #5 Posted February 22, 2020 Enlisted of course, my apologies. I always use the British term "other ranks". So would this cap probably date to around 1944/45? Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

Allan H. Posted February 23, 2020 Share #8 Posted February 23, 2020 This isn't necessarily "late war." The 82nd was using this cap patch as early as 1943. Allan

Allan Agree with Allan, the 82nd had these patches from N. Africa on so could be as early as 1943 but were very common and wide spread use by D-Day in 1944.
