My first cloth CIB

Hi everyone, found this one today for 3 euros but I'm not sure about its time frame. Given the type and colour of the backing I'm thinking Vietnam era. Is this correct?

Looks VN era US made, cool how they added the stitched border around the edge

One question, I thought, what I consider - palm frond leaves style, was Far East made. Where as the oak leaf style (copied below) was US made.

That CIB would be a U.S. made variant, what I like to call the cartoon musket and laurel leaf type, these were made with both Dark Blue and Light Blue backing behind the musket back then, they are also found embroidered on Khaki Twill from the late 50s? into the 60s. A Dark Blue version, and the Light Blue Version as seen in the OP.

This company whoever they were even made cloth full color EIBs, And have seen a subdued version or two as well, on OD Cotton Sateen..

 

 

 

Here's an unused example, would imagine like the CBs they made these both with Dark and Light Blue backgrounds, this one here, someone butchered the base is all, didn't trim it good as we see
