Toccoa20 Posted February 13, 2020 Share #1 Posted February 13, 2020 Hello, I found this pot in a Dutch thriftshop. It has been "trough the wars", so to speak. The shape looks very odd. Like it has been cut down, re-shaped? Corking looks okay, in some areas. The pot feel heavy and is in fair condition, aside from the many dents. SB, with the seam apparently on the back. However, I am not 100% sure as to what is the front and what is the back. One chinstrap reamining with rivet. What do you think? US, European, post-war? Or just a "casualty of War"? Hope to hear from you.Regards from Holland

patches Posted February 13, 2020 Share #3 Posted February 13, 2020 Sometimes used in error as a U.S. Helmet in movies, like in A Bridge Too Far by Ryan O'Neal as General James Gavin.
