Wind sock or meteorological parachute

Recommended Posts

NSN calls this a meteorological parachute, but it looks like a crude wind sock

made from a tyveck paper material and opens up to a cone shape

belonged to a USAF loadmaster, maybe from an ALCE or TALCE unit

I am thinking a windsock for short term use in field condition operations?

is about 3 feet long, attaching strings are light weight

cage is wicker type wood tied together

package of 12 made in 1985
