Posted February 4, 2020 Share #4 Posted February 4, 2020 One thing about these numbered medals is that as the awards cards for various medals get scanned and made available on line, EVENTUALLY more numbered medals will be attributable. The difficulty here is that you won't be able to look the number up by itself. In most cases, you'll have to know the name, get the award card pulled, and perhaps a number has been noted on the card along with the award. As SWAG was alluding to, there is a list out there of attributed Purple Hearts by number, but there aren't a lot of medal numbers listed.
