1950's USMC flat private collar insignia

I think these are inter-war with the small screw posts. I don't recognize the wide flat chevrons or the use of private rank insignia. Maybe cadet wear or foreign.

The earlier ones had screw posts, the later had clutch back. they were only officially authorized for a few years, from Sept. 56 - about Jan. 59 but continued to see use several years after.
