How do you tell a real USMC Mameluke from a replica

Saw this posted, but I have no clue about USMC Officers Mameluke swords.

Seems like there are a lot of replicas out there, what are the pointers for a real one? Obviously if it is named that is a good clue. My wife's, sister's ex is a retired Marine officer. When they were together he showed me his sword and handled it with great pride. It was pretty cool. Such tradition these represent.

With that said, when one needs to find a home, how does one ensure they are getting the real deal?

Here are the photos. Your input is appreciated.

This one looks good to me. Made for the American military goods dealer Meyer by the Solingen, Germany maker Carl Eickhorn. probably in the 1970s or so. Replicas are usually identifiable by the low quality materials and workmanship. They also frequently lack the proper maker's name/logos.
