Allan H. Posted January 27, 2020 Share #5 Posted January 27, 2020 The US has used rosettes for well over a century. The Medal of Honor is issued with a rosette rather than with a lapel pin. Rosettes exist for most of the gallantry awards and for many of the early campaigns. I have seen a DSC rosette in a WWI DSC case, but can't say that it was issued that way.
