Blackhawk Posted January 23, 2020 Share #1 Posted January 23, 2020 Hi, I could buy this (I think) M1905 bayonet. What do you think about it from these pictures? Is it ok? I guess the whole scabbard was painted green. What would be a realistic price for this set? Best regards, Lukas

MT247 Posted January 23, 2020 Share #5 Posted January 23, 2020 Looks authentic, I would personally pay no more than $100 for this because of the condition. Probably less because of the scabbard condition. Depending on the scabbard, these would have been painted green from the beginning. thorin6 Posted January 23, 2020 Share #6 Posted January 23, 2020 The scabbard is a Detroit Gasket manufactured M3 (you can see the "Lazy S" in the second picture). They did not take paint well and are somewhat rare. With that scabbard, even in that condition, I'd think the set is worth more than $200, possible upwards of $300. Bill in VA Posted January 24, 2020 Share #7 Posted January 24, 2020 I paid $250 for an almost identical rig (DG scabbard, RIA blade w/wood scales) only a few months back.
