Japanese Americans in WW2

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have recently been researching the topic of Japanese Americans in WW2 quite extensively. I'm sure most people have heard of the 442nd Regimental Combat team, but I was wondering if some of you could share some more story's and information of Japanese Americans who served in the Second World War? From both the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, Military Intelligence service, etc.

And one question I have is are there any Japanese American Women that were known to have served in the any component of the United States Military during WW2?

Thanks!
Hunt

Hunt,

There is a lot of information online about American of Japanese ancestry (AJA) in WWII. There were women that served in the WACs as well. There are a number of good books on the 442nd and the MIS out there.

Here are some sites with lots of information:

Thanks you for the websites! I've read a number of books as well as I have more that are sitting on my bookshelf waiting to be read now! There are quite a few on the 442nd regimental combat team which is nice! Looking forward to looking through these websites though!
