huntssurplus Posted January 14, 2020 Share #1 Posted January 14, 2020 Hello, I have recently been researching the topic of Japanese Americans in WW2 quite extensively. I'm sure most people have heard of the 442nd Regimental Combat team, but I was wondering if some of you could share some more story's and information of Japanese Americans who served in the Second World War? From both the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, Military Intelligence service, etc. And one question I have is are there any Japanese American Women that were known to have served in the any component of the United States Military during WW2? Thanks!Hunt
VenitHora Posted January 14, 2020 Share #2 Posted January 14, 2020 Hunt, There is a lot of information online about American of Japanese ancestry (AJA) in WWII. There were women that served in the WACs as well. There are a number of good books on the 442nd and the MIS out there. Here are some sites with lots of information: http://encyclopedia.densho.org/categories/#Military http://www.goforbroke.org/index.php An article about AJA women http://encyclopedia.densho.org/Japanese_American_women_in_military/
