BC312 Posted January 12, 2020 #1 Posted January 12, 2020 I have read that the once Aberdeen proving ground tank museum has been moved to Fort Lee, is this a museum that can be contacted to make an enquiry from a member of the public? If so are there any web site details to contact their archives.
swag Posted January 12, 2020 #2 Posted January 12, 2020 The Ordnance Museum at Aberdeen Proving Grounds is closed. The collection has been moved to the Ordnance Training Support Facility, Ft. Lee, VA. It is not open to the public. The collection is being used to train soldiers and there are no plans to open the Ordnance Training Support Facility to the public.
gwb123 Posted January 12, 2020 #3 Posted January 12, 2020 Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/OrdnanceTrainingandHeritageCenter/ There is a phone number, but not much else for public contact: Call (804) 734-4878 Supposedly there is an Ordnance Museum Foundation, but they have submerged after the movement of the museum assets to Fort Lee. This seems to be the only current link about them. http://www.ordmusfound.org/
Bluehawk Posted January 13, 2020 #4 Posted January 13, 2020 Thank you for those links, Gil... https://www.facebook.com/OrdnanceTrainingandHeritageCenter/ http://www.ordmusfound.org/
