I have a contact in Australia who is looking for an item. Here is the message he sent me;

I am contacting you in regards to another item, that I am wanting for my Vietnam war collection. I am after an M-60 handguard, & it doesn’t bother me, if it is real, airsoft, or a replica one.

First option is a real, de-mil'd one

Second options are replica and airsoft.

Is anything like this possible to obtain?

US Victory Museum

ITAR restrictions prevents the export of such an item.

Any item that has been de-milled to specifications acceptable under federal law

would be of no interest to him. He can buy his own air-soft locally. If he can't, then

clearly it's prohibited under Australian law.

Don't get caught in other people's drama. If you get caught trying to illegally export

such an item, the legal costs will break you. DO NOT SCREW AROUND!

With world terrorism growing, the US government is now taking this type of activity

very seriously. What may have gotten a person a slap on the wrist 20 years ago

will now get your life royally screwed FOR REAL!

Much easier to get one out of the EU or Canada. or various other countries than the US. You can have someone do the export paperwork and hope it gets approved.....some day, but for something like that it's easiest to go elsewhere. That stuff is laying around the globe. HTH
