museums Posted January 7, 2020 Share #5 Posted January 7, 2020 Not sure I'm clear on what you're looking for, so hope this helps- At age 18, he entered the Army 3 July 1942 in Springfield, Mass. Probably a draftee. He was from Hampden county. Fighting with Co K, 349th Infantry (88th "Blue Devils" Division, fighting under Fifth Army in Italy), he was injured in July 1944, then wounded by shrapnel in October 1944. if you want to read their battle history from Oct 1944 to learn more about the actions he was involved with, it's online at http://www.mtmestas.com Bryan Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
