BryanJ Posted January 2, 2020 Share #1 Posted January 2, 2020 Several years ago my wife and I visited the Alamo. In looking through the list of soldiers who died at the Alamo, I ran across the name Green Benito Jamison (Jemison - have seen it spelled both ways) who was a Captain in charge of artillery. Given that our Scottish ancestors either spelled their name various ways or had it mis-spelled over the centuries, I did some very basic genealogy research and found that we (Green) shared a great x 5 grandfather. I’ve read a few books about the Alamo and Green Benito Jamison was briefly mentioned. If there’s anyone on the forum with any knowledge about Alamo history and Green B. Jamison’s role in it, I’d like to here it.
