1941 CHRISTMAS LETTER-GENERAL ELECTRIC

Prior to being drafted in 1942, my father worked at General Electric in Fort Wayne, IN. This letter is dated December 25, 1941 and was sent to all employees.

A closer view of the message. Note how it says that the message had to be rewritten due to the attack on Pearl Harbor.

The General Electric buildings still stand. and are part of a redevelopment project called Electric Works.The project is currently at a stand still as investors seek new sources of finance.Its a huge project involving 17 building and over 1.2 million square feet

Great item Eric! Love Hoosier stuff. I see some of those buildings about every day. I hated to see the giant GE sign go down a few years ago.
