stratasfan Posted December 19, 2019 Share #1 Posted December 19, 2019 Some units wear the Croix de Guerre Fourragere. My question . . . is there a difference in the style/look of the actual fourragere from French to US? I assume they can be made in the US, but regardless of manufacturing country . . . do they look the same? Thanks! Hope I am not too unclear there! Andrei Posted December 19, 2019 Share #2 Posted December 19, 2019 I assume that french manufactured fourragères are different from the US made ones but I can't tell you the difference since I have never seen a US made fourragère.

Go through these two big topic to see various time periods and styles, the main ones you will see that differs from say a U.S. Made seen today and from the 50s on one will be one where a trefoil on the rear, and two additional cords draped over the top of the sleeve where the shoulder patch, is if seen these will be French made. http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/10777-shoulder-cords/ http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/6931-us-uniforms-with-fourragere/
