irish Posted December 19, 2019 Share #1 Posted December 19, 2019 An interesting DI that has recently come out of an old collection. Was fortunate to add this one to my collection. It is for the Mediterranean Theater of Operations, US Army Disciplinary Training Center. Described in an old Trading Post article " as a location to retrain duds and screw up's and then return them in packets to combat units as replacements". It was also noted that many of these replacements turned out to be superb combat soldiers. This particular piece which was featured in the article is Italian made. There is one other version of this piece that is narrower and longer with a small flourish at the base.
