Just found this pacific theater New Britain letter to an army private wounded in the Battle of Arawe. Couldnt find to much about the vet as he passed away in the 1970s.

On NARA, his record and serial number indicate that he was in the National Guard, so maybe 40th Division?

Thats good info. I have no idea. The only info I could find was the 112th cavalry attacked that section from internet research. There is a very small picture of him on findagrave but nothing identifiable on the uniform
