USdog Posted December 17, 2019 Share #1 Posted December 17, 2019 Can anyone identify what rifle this handguard is for? Sorry for the bad pics. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
gomorgan Posted December 17, 2019 Share #2 Posted December 17, 2019 Profile looks like a 1903 A3 Springfield but that rear sight notch cut in the rear of the hand guard has me puzzled. I think it started life as an 03A3 hand guard.
RustyCanteen Posted December 17, 2019 Share #3 Posted December 17, 2019 It looks like it was a M1903 handguard (I think I see indications of where the 'hump' was taken down some, and the sight notch sanded out. It appears someone was using a scope or sight that mounted on the barrel, sort of like the Unertl scopes used on the M1903A1's.
USdog Posted December 17, 2019 Author Share #4 Posted December 17, 2019 Ah that makes sense. It looked familiar. Thanks!
