manayunkman Posted December 11, 2019 Share #26 Posted December 11, 2019 I had a chance to ride one in 1972. The Belgian military museum in Brussels had a working one. They were reconstructing their displays and were moving the tank. I was invited inside for the ride.
garrettbragg12 Posted December 11, 2019 Author Share #27 Posted December 11, 2019 What an amazing experience, thanks for sharing! I would love to that myself someday and throw in an M3 Halftrack for good measure. : ) No problem, I’m glad you enjoyed them! This was the first time their M3 had been ran in year. They said all it took was a new battery and she fired right up. I don’t think many vehicles would have been able to do that!
garrettbragg12 Posted December 11, 2019 Author Share #28 Posted December 11, 2019 That flamethrower is real. It is, and even from a distance you could feel the heat. It really made you appreciate the service of the guys who used them.

It’s one of those events that you don’t forget.
