Rats of Tobruk Posted December 8, 2019 #1 Posted December 8, 2019 Honolulu World War II museum fights to remain open for more Pearl Harbor anniversaries https://www.usatoday.com/story/travel/news/2019/12/07/pearl-harbor-anniversary-could-be-last-for-honolulu-museum/4356354002/
gwb123 Posted December 9, 2019 #2 Posted December 9, 2019 This museum has been struggling for some time. Unique, but underfunded and well off the tourist areas.
dskjl Posted December 9, 2019 #3 Posted December 9, 2019 I live a couple of blocks away and try and take guests there whenever we have visitors that show an interest. The place is really very special and I recommend anybody with any interest visit and head upstairs for a drink or two from the very friendly staff. I consider this a “must see” for any enthusiast when visiting Oahu.
T Ambrosini Posted December 9, 2019 #4 Posted December 9, 2019 I go to Oahu about once ever 2-3 years for a week or so and have never heard of this museum. Its on my radar now but how or why has it been such a well kept secret? Tom

dskjl Posted December 13, 2019 #6 Posted December 13, 2019 I’m sure it’s a low budget thing, nonetheless a must see for any military buff.
KASTAUFFER Posted December 13, 2019 #7 Posted December 13, 2019 I've been going to Hawaii for over 25 years, many multiple times, and I didnt know this place existed, I would have gone if I had known. Kurt
