In the course of researching his wartime service I've discovered hundreds of photos brought home in the private albums of his shipmates. I've also found many action reports detailing airstrikes from the Langley. I have a strong interest in the battles in the Marianas and Iwo Jima in particular. I've scanned many pre-battle aerial images of Iwo showing the island before it became a moonscape and an American airbase. I've posted most of the images in my album page on Flickr.
