cmarksB175 Posted December 7, 2019 Share #1 Posted December 7, 2019 My late father was an Avenger pilot on the USS Langley CVL 27 in 1944. While researching his service I found hundreds of photos in the National Archives and in private albums brought home by his shipmates. Anyone with an interest in the Pacific war might enjoy browsing through my albums on Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/30987550@N06/albums

manayunkman Posted December 8, 2019 Share #4 Posted December 8, 2019 In the first picture you can see two men on the deck. In the second picture the deck is clear. I can’t imagine what the crew was thinking.
