ArmyAviationCadetProject Posted December 1, 2019 Share #1 Posted December 1, 2019 Good Evening Everyone, This is my first topic created on this forum, and I looked around and did not happen to see another topic like this. If i missed it, please feel free to let me know. I was looking for a reference on the American Emblem Company as it relates to wings that were produced. I cant seem to find much out there on the company itself. Were A.E. Co. wings reproduced after WWII (reproduced, re-strikes)? Is there anyone on here that collects A.E. Co wings specifically? I have purchased a few A.E. Co. wings recently and it appears that there are three different hallmarks for them. Are there more? Any information or reference material would be greatly appreciated. hawk3370 Posted December 1, 2019 Share #2 Posted December 1, 2019 Years ago I was told by Mr. Duncan Campbell that the AE dies were destroyed at the end of the way. Since then I have not heard anything contrary to that. That being said I suspect any (fake) AE wings will be cast copies and should be easily identified as such. I am sure the experts on the forum can add light to this as I do not collect the WW2 wings because of the many restrikes and fakes that abound. The Rooster Posted December 1, 2019 Share #3 Posted December 1, 2019 Greetings and welcome to the forum. You can search A.E.Co in the search box. Also here is a link to the hallmarks reference section. http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/100982-american-emblem-co/ Some people on here are fond of those wings. Me included!
