RWW Posted November 28, 2019 Share #2 Posted November 28, 2019 The SRU-22/P contained various sized pieces of white nylon material that were used for ground to air signaling.

RWW Posted November 28, 2019 Share #4 Posted November 28, 2019 I have never seen anything on them in any literature I have run across. They are about 6 1/2" by 7 1/2" by 3/4" thick, so they could have been placed in any seat kit or even an inner vest pocket. I have seen them made by 2 different manufacturers, one with a '69 contract that were produced in late '68 and a '70 contract date. The '69 contract by ACR is an Air Force contract, F33657-69-C-0292, while the "70 contract by Aquador Plastics is DSA-100-70-C-1240. I am not exactly sure what the DSA contract means, but is it possible the Army, or another branch used them as well? Maybe someone can add more light to the topic!
