phillock Posted November 23, 2019 Share #1 Posted November 23, 2019 Hi friends I suspect this is one of those metal tabs that were made for veterans for wear on caps shirts etc.. 1980's I suspect. It is 2 1/5 inch x .5 inch. Has anyone come across this before? Phill
firefighter Posted November 24, 2019 Share #2 Posted November 24, 2019 I’ve seen them nailed on plaques. But I also think these are worn on the pocket flaps of dress blues
atb Posted November 24, 2019 Share #3 Posted November 24, 2019 Unless there has been a drastic change, this would not be worn on a uniform. The winged parachute badge denotes individual airborne qualification. The "AIRORNE" is always part of a shoulder sleeve insignia or, in metal, a combat service insignia. Those individual skills shown by a tab have metal versions for uniform wear.
