gwb123 Posted November 23, 2019 Share #8 Posted November 23, 2019 The patch in your photo looks larger than would be expected. I am not sure if it is the angle of the photograph or if it really is oversized.
mikie Posted November 23, 2019 Share #9 Posted November 23, 2019 Hope you don't mind me asking here, but what exactly is meant by "General Headquarters" in reference to these pstches. We're they only worn by headquarters soldiers? This has always confused me. Not that confusing me is very hard to do. Thanks...
BILL THE PATCH Posted November 23, 2019 Share #10 Posted November 23, 2019 Did this patch ever use a black propeller?, I seem to recall seeing one. Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
FlyNavy02 Posted January 19, 2020 Share #11 Posted January 19, 2020 Nice Photo. The distinctive insignia looks like the 2nd Bomb Group. Jay
eaglerunner88 Posted April 22, 2022 Share #12 Posted April 22, 2022 Was this " pinwheel general headquarters" patch just used stateside pre-WWII? When did the crossover to the winged AAF star come into existence? Also, would it be appropriate to have this early pinwheel patch on a uniform with these headquarters DIs on the epelautes?
