WW1 80th division jacket

I have no experience with WW1 uniforms. Does this look right? I bought it at a vintage/retro store. Posted Image

I'd guess it was issued "over there." Patch looks theater-made, not US.

I’d say you may be right on the patch’s origins, yes......and probably part of his kit and other items that returned home with him to the US....once here it was sewn on this cotton uniform which was issued and worn while he mustered out of the Army....It is possible that the soldier could have removed it from the wool uniform he wore while steaming home and later applied it to this summer-weight coat, along with the overseas stripes and one of the three red discharge chevrons each soldier was issued.

Thanks for the input. Is the only way to find the owner through names written inside? I havent found any names. Just a few stamps of maybe a size.
