mvmhm Posted November 21, 2019 Share #1 Posted November 21, 2019 Another uncommon artifact "walked in the door" today - a very nice inter-war period Model 1902 Enlistedman's full dress uniform. This example was worn by Corporal Milo Semsel; he was born in 1906 in Stamford, Connecticut to Slovak immigrants. He passed away on February 14th, 1998. During his service, he served with the 192nd Field Artillery, one of the oldest serving units in the Army. Mark sends

mvmhm Posted November 21, 2019 Author Share #5 Posted November 21, 2019 Surprisingly, it even still has the collar liner...although it's VERY well worn.
mvmhm Posted November 21, 2019 Author Share #6 Posted November 21, 2019 Every piece is named to him...when I took pictures of the tags I could only see the obvious...after I brought up the contrast a little, you can see the October 25, 1932 dates(s). Not a bad set for a walk-in!
agate hunter Posted November 21, 2019 Share #7 Posted November 21, 2019 Don't see these interwar 1902 dress blues too much, this one has it all, insignia, cap, trousers, and a name. Nice uniform. Thanks for sharing.
mvmhm Posted November 21, 2019 Author Share #8 Posted November 21, 2019 thanks...yes, it was great to see that it had all the do-dads....it can be a real pain trying to restore one of these... Mark sends
oakleaf777 Posted November 23, 2019 Share #9 Posted November 23, 2019 Incredible. That uniform after nearly a century still looks inspection-ready. Thanks so much for sharing
everforward Posted November 24, 2019 Share #10 Posted November 24, 2019 Love it. Would love to find an infantry set like that from the 30s.
OD-Blue-Top Posted November 28, 2019 Share #11 Posted November 28, 2019 Great uniform, with all the right "stuff". It's nice to see one of these show up with all the correct pieces. Great history.
