Keith Posted November 16, 2019 Share #1 Posted November 16, 2019 Picked this up at an estate sale. Blanks, but for m1898 Krags and loaded during WW2 (1943). Cases made by Winchester, loaded by Frankfort Arsenal. Thanks for looking.

sundance Posted November 17, 2019 Share #4 Posted November 17, 2019 What would they have been using Krag's for in WW2 - training - ceremonial?

917601 Posted November 17, 2019 Share #6 Posted November 17, 2019 Very nice. A few thoughts, blank ammo desireable to cartridge collectors due to salute regs. WW2 dated stuff rare. After WW2 blanks were recycled, thus factory reloaded blank boxes had mixed headstamps, dates, manufacturers. WW2 exhausted blank supplies. To this day, 30.06 blanks are being reloaded by .gov for funeral ceremonies. Boxes of WW2 dated .30 cal Blanks are rare, Krag even rarer.
