Catholic Manual 1942, personal item of Sgt. Charles E McKenna of Pennsylvania.

Inscribed “Chas McKenna USMC 1^st Parachute Regiment Semper fidelis” and by his daughter later “Kathleen McKenna”

Given the bend and wear, he no doubt carried this with him into combat. I haven’t found much on McKenna’s war record, yet I do see he was with the 1^st at Bougainville, he wrote an article on the battle of HILL 1000.' Sgt Charles E.
