ID this canvas pouch on USMC troop

Looks like a signal corps style pouch but that is just a guess..

USMC decal on his pocket, PASGT helmet ...older pic but looking to ID the pouch

kinda old to be a grunt...maybe a Chaplin, doctor or commander??

I believe that pouch is manufactured for the commercial market and is not U.S. military issue. In this case I suppose you can call it private purchase.

Haha no worries. Just hilarious to see Mad Dog refered to as maybe a chaplain
