Lineage: Constituted as 12th Combat Cargo Squadron on June 1, 1944 and activated in India on June 5, 1944. Redesignated 333d Troop Carrier Squadron on Oct 1, 1945.

 

Assignments: 3d Combat Cargo Group (later 513th Troop Carrier) Group, June 5, 1944 - January 6, 1946.

 

Stations: Sylhet, India, June 5, 1944; Fenny, India, June 6, 1944; Moran, India , July 1, 1944; Tulihal, India, April 1, 1945; Ledo, India, May 12, 1945; Myitkyina, Burma, June 5, 1945; Shanghai, China, October 7, 1945 - December 15, 1945; Ft Lawton, Washington, January 5-6, 1946.

 

Aircraft: C-47, 1944 - 1945; C-46, 1945 - 1946.

 

Operations: Aerial transportation in CBI, June 11, 1944- September 1945; airlift of Chinese troops to eastern China to perform disarmament operations, Oct 17, 1945 - December 8, 1945.

 

Campaigns: India-Burma; China Defensive, Central Burma; China Offensive.
