Ancestry has a Henry C. Lank departing for France 23 November 1917 and returning 17 February 1919. He visited home right before leaving for France.

It looks as though while it may not be a U.S. military publication, it was likely used by a WWI serviceman. Judging by the ads pictured he may have bought it while overseas.

Are there any ads with U.S. addresses or are they all European?

If this is your man you got lucky research wise, this is part of the guide to World War I Records at the Delaware Public Archives:

https://docplayer.net/23311442-A-guide-to-world-war-i-records-at-the-delaware-public-archives.html

That letter could be very informative. Not everyone held on to letters, let alone they survive long enough to become part of an archive's collection.

Thank you for all the information. Every ad in the book is British. There are ads for new planes down to repair shops parts shops even welding shops. Cool little book with a lot of information

No problem at all! It sounds like he acquired the book in France or while on leave in Britain.

Nice find!
