Lineage: Constituted as 9th Combat Cargo Squadron on June 1, 1944 and activated in India on June 5, 1944. Redesignated 330th Troop Carrier Squadron on Oct 1, 1945.

 

Assignments: 3d Combat Cargo Group (later 513th Troop Carrier) Group, June 5, 1944 - April 15, 1946. 513th Troop Carrier Group November 19, 1946 - October 16, 1949.

 

Stations: Sylhet, India, June 5, 1944; Moran, India, July 12, 1944; Warazup, Burma, December 27, 1944; Myitkyina, Burma, June 3, 1945; Shanghai, China October 7, 1945 - April 15, 1946

 

Aircraft: C-47, 1944 - 1945; C-46, 1945 - 1946.

 

Operations: Aerial transportation in CBI, June 8, 1944- September 1945; airlift of Chinese troops to eastern China to perform disarmament operations, Oct - Nov 1945. Berlin Airlift, December 3, 1948 - September 20, 1949.
