SKIPH Posted November 8, 2019 Share #1 Posted November 8, 2019 Checking out ebay a few days ago. Found two V42s up for sale. 1) Ebay # 283664604537- Buy Now price of $6200, comes with an M6 leather scabbard. 2) Ebay # 223735849671- Buy Now price of $7500, scabbard kinda looks like a cut down long version, but not sure. Protective metal plate looks odd. Seems like they always pop up this time of year. Too rich for my blood! SKIP

sactroop Posted November 9, 2019 Share #5 Posted November 9, 2019 Does seem like there may be more people entering this area of collecting with more disposable cash than what many of us are used to. There will always be people out there waiting to take advantage.
SKIPH Posted November 9, 2019 Author Share #6 Posted November 9, 2019 Seems like they're asking a lot of money, for V-42s without the original long scabbards. SKIP
6th.MG.BN Posted November 9, 2019 Share #7 Posted November 9, 2019 They do seem to be asking very high prices. I had one I offered here and than ebay. I believe it finally sold in the $2,500.00 range. It didn't sell fast even in that price range, with the proper long scabbard. Ken
SKIPH Posted November 9, 2019 Author Share #8 Posted November 9, 2019 Ken- It would be nice to see them back in the $2500 range again. But, when they were, it was still too steep for most collectors. SKIP

Okie96 Posted November 10, 2019 Share #10 Posted November 10, 2019 Not that I have the money for one now, or any time soon, but I thought V-42s were in the 2500 - 4000 range? Have I had an incorrect impression or did the prices tank?
