GoldenHistorian Posted November 7, 2019 Share #1 Posted November 7, 2019 Does anyone know what Pigeons were carried in by the AEF? I have seen many images of ww1 messenger Pigeon staff, but none of AEF. Many thanks!

pathfinder11 Posted November 8, 2019 Share #3 Posted November 8, 2019 Can you clarify your question? I ask as someone who has been researching U.S. Army Signal Corps Pigeon Service activities, particularly with the AEF. I probably know more than most on the subject and am happy to help. GoldenHistorian Posted November 14, 2019 Author Share #4 Posted November 14, 2019 Hey! Thanks for the pictures. Pathfinder, to clarify, Im really looking to see if there are any other photographs of what the pigeons were carried in. I have seen artist imressions of AEF using french panniers but no proof. My primary reason is to work on a Pigeon carrier impression. If you know of any good resources for research it would be great if you could point me in whatever direction!
