jlhworks Posted November 6, 2019 Share #1 Posted November 6, 2019 Brought this to SOS a few years back and could not get a positive ID on this. Just came across it again and thought I would share it here. What I do know is it's likely Vietnam period (appears to be Vietnamese or Japanese made). And the last two letters - FE - stand for Far East. I'm open to any thoughts or suggestions as to what this is. Thanks! Jack

jlhworks Posted November 6, 2019 Author Share #8 Posted November 6, 2019 Been awhile since I did an internet search and since then some more info has been added. Just punched in CCRAFE online and found it to stand Combined Command for Reconnaissance Activities, Far East - 8177th Army Unit. Stationed in Japan after transferring from Korea (then CCRAK). I suppose that would make this a rather uncommon shirt...

jlhworks Posted November 7, 2019 Author Share #10 Posted November 7, 2019 Looks like a bowling league shirt. I've heard bowling shirt before... The characters on the tag look japanese or chinese. Anyone here know for sure? This piece came out of a military musuem that was downsizing their collection.
