easterneagle87 Posted November 4, 2019 Share #1 Posted November 4, 2019 A great shot of F-4's over Thailand. Back of photo is mis-labled as f-104's. Size of the photo wouldn't fit on the scanner. It's 9 3/8 inches tall and wide. What unit? tails are labeled, "FO" and "FP"
Randy Posted November 6, 2019 Share #2 Posted November 6, 2019 From the 8th TFW at Ubon, Thailand. This was before wing tail codes, each squadron within the wing had unique ones. So, F for the 8th TFW, with FO for the 497 TFS, and FP for the 435 TFS. Later the 8th TFW adopted WP (Wolf Pack) for all assigned aircraft. The aircraft look to be F-4C and/or D models, hard to tell in this shot and they did fly both. Randy
