Vietnam USAF Party Suits UDORN USAFB "Guy In Back" Navigator

Recommended Posts

I wanted to share these with the forum. I had never seen them or heard of a "party suit." In fact, my first thought was to cut the patches off these ugly coveralls. Glad I didn't do that. They come from the estate of a WWII - Vietnam period Navigator. He was at Udorn in the late 1960s. One of his awards was dated 1968-1969. I blacked out his name in the photos.

The purple suit is jacket with matching pants. This one doesn't have a label. The blue suit has a matching ascot and the claw is stenciled on the back.

Purchased from the estate. 100 percent genuine.

Nice. Looks like a WSO in the 13th TFS 1969-71 ( Mekong Mice patch is from that era when the bombing on NVN suspended). I would guess when he made LTC he was then the Maint. Sqdn. CO.

Very nice examples.

Thank you for not cutting these up. Unfortunately, that was the fate of many of these party suits early on.

Very nice, and agree 100% on keeping these "as is".

Looking for older Virginia Military Institute items: insignia, uniforms, cadet sabers, documents, and groupings belonging to VMI alumni.

Also interested in Virginia Reserve Militia (VRM) uniforms and insignia, or other items of general Virginia interest.
