Vietnam "Party Dress"

We are mostly all familiar with the Vietnam "Party Suits", but here is what the ladies wore. The patch is that of Udorn Air Base's 11th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron, but nurse Jo Miller was assigned to the base hospital. Reflective of the mini-skirts so popular during the time, this dress, in terms of length, leaves very little to the imagination. Party suit elements have been incorporated into the dress's design: epaulets and a shoulder pen pocket, just like a flight suit.

Here is an example of a female party suit on display at the National Museum of the United States Air Force in Dayton, Ohio.
