Picker friend of mine just acquired this grouping ID'd to Clyde A. Maples

Pretty interesting group, includes; Photo, Named DFC, ribbon bars, Bombardier wings (2), Master Navigator wings (full and shirt size), Red Cross notice of daughters birth, 1950's news paper clipping of new posting to Hawaii and NEATEST of all!!! His Canadian discharge paper having attained the rank of SGT with 319 days of service. Although no written acknowledgement of awards, would he have be entitled to a Canadian War Service medal?

Partial info on the RC notice dated 1943. ??1st Bb. Gp. 32nd … 520 US Army. Any idea what group was he assigned to?

He was in the thick of it with by the look of his ribbons; (1) DFC, is it 9 or 10 Air Medals, the ribbon being one, 4 bronze oak leaf clusters and one silver olc (representing 5)? and 5 campaign stars on the Euro ribbon. Post war, Berlin Air Lift, but no Air Lift Ribbon.

Any info or comments, please add. Enjoy!

Fellas, just a heads up. I just listed this group on ebay. Item #202823532452

I wish I could keep it, but it's time to find it a good home.
